In general terms, the purpose of Development Regulations Amendment No. 1, 2003 is to increase the maximum allowable size of a residential accessory building from 56 square metres to 95 square metres (1,022 square feet) and from 7 percent to 10 percent of the lot area. When the lot area warrants, an accessory building in excess of 95 square metres up to 190 square metres (2,044 square feet) in area would be permitted on a discretionary basis and subject to public notification.

The Marystown Development Regulations Amendment No. 1, 2003 comes into effect on the day that this notice is published in The Newfoundland and Labrador Gazette.
