Statute: Expropriation Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Public Works dated August 16, 2022, and pursuant to

Section 80 of

Chapter 156 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Expropriation Act , is pleased to: (

a) authorize the conveyance of two parcels of surplus land, identified as Lot HMQ and Lot HIL, containing a combined area of 13,152.28 square metres (3.25 acres), more or less, located at or near Glass Street, Trenton, Pictou County, as more particularly shown on

Schedule "A" attached to and forming part of the Report and Recommendation, to the Town of Trenton for the nominal consideration of $1.00; (

b) authorize the Minister of Public Works to make and execute a Deed of Conveyance in such form as the Minister determines to effect the conveyance of the lands herein above described; and (

c) authorize the Minister of Public Works to execute such documents as may be necessary to achieve the purpose of this Order.
