19 CROWN CORPORATIONS BILL No. 218 of

An Act to amend The Crown Corporations Act, 1993, (Prohibiting Foreign Investments) (Assented to , 1999) HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan, enacts as follows:

Short title This Act may be cited as The Crown Corporations Amendment Act, 1999 (Foreign Investment Prohibition) . S.S. 1993, c.C-50.101 amended The Crown Corporations Act, 1993 , is amended: (

a) by adding after subsection 29(1) the following subsection:

(1.1) Notwithstanding subsection (1), no Crown corporation, designated subsidiary Crown corporation or member of the Executive Council shall make an acquisition pursuant to subsection (1), of shares, bonds, debentures or other securities of a body corporate with a head office not situate in Canada; and (

b) by adding after subsection 31(1) the following subsection:

(1.1) Notwithstanding subsection (1), no Crown corporation, designated subsidiary Crown corporation or member of the Executive Council shall make an acquisition of any property from a body corporate with a head office not situate in Canada.
