OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Housing and Municipal Affairs dated August 8, 2000, pursuant to subsection 452(3) of

Chapter 18 of the Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1998, the Municipal Government Act, is pleased to: (

a) authorize the Minister of Housing and Municipal Affairs and the Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs to enter into an agreement with the Government of Canada, respecting municipal infrastructure funding, to include substantially the programs, terms and conditions outlined in the agreement attached as

Schedule "A" to and forming part of the report and recommendation; (

b) authorize the Minister of Housing and Municipal Affairs and the Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs to execute the agreement referred to in paragraph (

a) and such other documents or agreements in such form as the Department of Justice may approve as deemed necessary to give effect to this Order; and (

c) authorize the Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs to appoint the following persons as the Provincial members of the Federal-Provincial Management Committee which will oversee the implementation of the aforementioned agreement: Brian Stonehouse, Deputy Minister, Department of Housing and Municipal Affairs; David Darrow, Executive Director, Municipal Services, Department of Housing and Municipal Affairs; and Howard Windsor, Deputy Minister, Department of Transportation and Public Works.
