Prayers.

MR. SPEAKER: The Honourable Member for North Vancouver–Seymour.

MR. B.A. CLARK (North Vancouver–Seymour): Mr. Speaker, I

would ask the Members to join in welcoming a delegation in our gallery

from a school in my constituency — the students from Windsor Senior

Secondary School in North Vancouver.

MR. SPEAKER: The Honourable Member for New Westminster.

MR. D.G. COCKE (New Westminster): Mr. Speaker, I'd like the

House to welcome a group of people from New Westminster, the Royal

City, who've come over to check on whether or not they should have the

capital moved back. To see whether we're doing our job.

MR. SPEAKER: The Honourable the Minister of Industrial Development, Trade and Commerce.

HON. W.M. SKILLINGS (Minister of Industrial Development, Trade and Commerce):

Mr. Speaker, we have today in the ladies' gallery a group of 12 ladies

from the Dogwood Auxiliary of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Social

Credit. I'd ask the Members to be particularly chivalrous today to show

democracy at work.

MR. SPEAKER: The Honourable Member for Surrey.

MR. E. HALL (Surrey): Mr. Speaker, I'd like the House to

welcome 70 pupils from Dr. F.D. Sinclair School in Surrey with their

teachers Mrs. Perryman and Miss Chong.

MR. SPEAKER: The Honourable Member for Revelstoke-Slocan.

MR. B. CAMPBELL (Revelstoke-Slocan): Mr. Speaker the glorious

Kootenays are represented in this House with five constituencies; four

of which sit on the government side of the House. In your gallery

today, sir, we have a man who hopes the next time he visits here — and

I fully expect will — to sit on the floor of this House and on this

side — the recently nominated Social Credit candidate in Kootenay

riding, Mr. Dave Reeves. I ask Members to welcome him.

to be placed on orders of the day for second reading on the first

House in committee of supply. The committee rose, reported resolutions and asked leave to sit again.

MR. SPEAKER: Hon. Members, we will deal first with the

division that took place on vote 136. Leave will be required to record

the division in the Journals .

Hon. Mr. Bennett moves adjournment of the House.

HON. P.J. JORDAN (Minister without Portfolio): Mr. Speaker,

I'm sure you'd like to know that from the illustrious area of the North

Okanagan, in the centre of Windfield, we have 12 students this evening

and their teacher Mr. Aspirall and I hope that the Members will give

them a warm welcome and be in their finest debating form.
