OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Education dated October 12, 2000, pursuant to clause 10(3)(
c) of
Chapter 134 of the Acts of 1891, as amended,
An Act Respecting Acadia University, is pleased to: (
a) accept the resignation and revoke the appointment of William Wilson of Berwick, Kings County, as a member of the Board of Governors of Acadia University, which appointment was made by Order in Council 97-691 dated November 5, 1997; (
b) appoint Brian Stonehouse, Deputy Minister for Service Nova Scotia and Municipal Relations, as a member of the Board of Governors of Acadia University for a term of office commencing August 7, 2000, and ending September 30, 2003; and (
c) appoint the following persons as members of the Board of Governors of Acadia University, each for a term of office commencing October 1, 2000, and ending September 30, 2006: Michele McKenzie, Deputy Minister of Tourism and Culture; Edgar Cramm, Deputy Minister of Community Services; and Howard Windsor, Deputy Minister of Transportation and Public Works.
