OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Labour, Skills and Immigration dated February 15, 2022, and pursuant to Sections 151, 152 and 153 of

Chapter 10 of the Acts of 1994-95, the Workers’ Compensation Act , is pleased to: (

a) reappoint Steve Ashton of Halifax Regional Municipality (Halifax) as an employer representative member of the Board of Directors of the Workers’ Compensation Board of Nova Scotia for a term of four (4) years commencing April 1, 2022; (

b) order that Steve Ashton be remunerated for his service as a member of the Board of Directors of the Workers’ Compensation Board of Nova Scotia, in the amount of $300.00 per day, and be reimbursed for reasonable expenses actually incurred by him in fulfilling his duties as a member, provided such reimbursements do not exceed those normally paid to members of the civil service; and (

c) order that Steve Ashton receive an annual honorarium of $2000.00 for chairing board committees, to be paid on a pro rata basis.
