WILDLIFE (2021 HUNTING SEASON - MINISTERIAL)

AMENDMENT REGULATION

53/2021) on June 30, 2021 pursuant to

section 103 of the Wildlife Act.

1 The Wildlife Regulation (AR 143/97) is amended by this

Regulation.

Section 3(

i) is amended by striking out "Merriam's"

wherever it occurs and substituting "wild".

3 Sections 30(4) and (14), 43 and 45(1) are amended by

striking out "Merriam's" and substituting "wild".

Section 53(1)(

a) is repealed and the following is

substituted:

(

a) pursuant to a contract referred to in

section 58(1)(

a) or

59(1)(a),

(

i) one or 2 non-resident or non-resident alien licence

holders while they are hunting wolf, coyote or big game

other than black bear that they are legally authorized to

hunt, or

(ii) up to 3 non-resident or non-resident alien licence

holders while they are hunting black bear that they are

legally authorized to hunt,

5 Sections 95(3.1)(c), 98(1)(

d) and 106 are amended by

striking out "Merriam's" and substituting "wild".

Section 136(1)(

d) is amended by striking out "Merriam's"

wherever it occurs and substituting "wild".

Section 143(2) is amended

(

a) in clause (

a) by striking out "subsection (1)(

a) to (d)"

and substituting "subsection (1)(a), (

b) and (d)";

(

b) in clause (c)

(

i) by striking out "separately" and substituting

"combined";

(ii) by striking out ", white fronted geese, sharp tailed

grouse, ruffed grouse, spruce grouse, gray partridge,

pheasant, blue grouse and ptarmigan" and

substituting "and white fronted geese".

Schedule 4 is amended in

Part 4 in item 2

(

a) by striking out "merriami";

(

b) by striking out "(Merriam's)".

Schedule 8 is amended

(

a) in

Part 1 in item 40 by striking out "Merriam's" and

substituting "wild";

(

b) in

Part 3 in item 17 by striking out "game bird" and

substituting "waterfowl".

Schedule 9 is amended in

Part 1 by repealing item 55

and substituting the following:

DESIGNATION AND TRANSFER OF RESPONSIBILITY

AMENDMENT REGULATION

on July 8, 2021 pursuant to sections 16, 17 and 18 of the Government Organization

Act.

1 The Designation and Transfer of Responsibility

Regulation (AR 44/2019) is amended by this Regulation.

Section 6 is repealed and the following is substituted:

Culture

6(1) The Minister of Culture is designated as the Minister

responsible for the following enactments:

(

a) Alberta Centennial Medal Act;

(

b) Alberta Foundation for the Arts Act;

(

c) Emblems of Alberta Act;

(

d) Family Day Act;

(

e) Film and Video Classification Act;

(

f) First Nations Sacred Ceremonial Objects Repatriation Act;

(

g) Foreign Cultural Property Immunity Act;

(

h) Glenbow-Alberta Institute Act;

(

i) Historical Resources Act;

(

j) Holocaust Memorial Day and Genocide Remembrance Act;

(

k) Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee Recognition Act;

(

l) Ukrainian-Canadian Heritage Day Act;

(

m) Ukrainian Famine and Genocide (Holodomor) Memorial

Day Act.

(2) The responsibility for the parts of the public service associated

with the appropriation transferred under subsection (3) is transferred

to the Minister of Culture.

(3) The responsibility for the administration of the unexpended

balance of the 2021-2022 Government appropriation for Culture,

Multiculturalism and Status of Women is transferred to the Minister

of Culture.

Water Act

WATER (MINISTERIAL)

AMENDMENT REGULATION

65/2021) on July 12, 2021 pursuant to

section 169(2) of the Water Act.

1 The Water (Ministerial) Regulation (AR 205/98) is

amended by this Regulation.

Section 2(

a) of

Schedule 1 is repealed and the following

is substituted:

(

a) placing, constructing, installing, maintaining, using,

replacing or removing a floating platform or a portable or

seasonal pier, boat launch or dock in or adjacent to a water

body, including cutting aquatic vegetation and removing

invasive aquatic plants in accordance with the applicable

disturbance standards established under

section 3 of the

Public Lands Administration Regulation (AR 187/2011) if

directly incidental to the placing, constructing, installing,

maintaining, using, replacing or removal of the floating

platform or portable or seasonal pier, boat launch or dock;
