OIC Text: The Governor in Council, on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Natural Resources and Renewables dated May 27, 2024, and pursuant to clauses 7(
c) and 16(1)(
a) of
Chapter 114 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Crown Lands Act , is pleased, effective on and after July 2, 2024, to approve the Minister of Natural Resources and Renewables: (
a) issuing a deed for Crown lands currently identified as a portion of PID 82563602 that contain approximately 28 hectares (69 acres) and located at Jordan Falls, Shelburne County, as shown outlined in bold and shaded grey on the map marked
Schedule “A” attached to and forming part of the Report and Recommendation, to William Randall Harris, or his executors, heirs, trustees, administrators or approved successors or assigns; (
b) in exchange for the Crown lands noted in paragraph (a), accepting a deed from William Randall Harris, or his executors, heirs, trustees, administrators or approved successors or assigns, for land currently identified as PIDs 80117146 and 82580754 that contain a total of approximately 79.8 hectares (197.06 acres), as shown outlined in bold on the map marked
Schedule “A” attached to and forming part of the Report and Recommendation, subject to the condition that William Randall Harris, or his executors, heirs, trustees, administrators or approved successors or assigns be able to certify title to the land in a manner deemed sufficient by the Department of Justice; and (
c) executing such documents as may be necessary to achieve the purposes of this Order.
