An Act to Amend the Motor Vehicle Act Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick, enacts as fol- lows: 1

Section 140.1 of the Motor Vehicle Act,

chapter M-17 of the Revised Statutes, 1973, is amended (

a) in paragraph (1)(

a) by striking out “fifty” and substituting “thirty”; (

b) in paragraph (1)(

c) by striking out “eighty” and substituting “fifty”; (

c) in subsection (2) by striking out “may designate” and substituting “shall designate”; (

d) in subsection (3) by adding “and the maximum rate of speed” after “school zone”. 2

Section of the Act is amended (

a) in subsection (2) by striking out “may, by by- law” and substituting “shall, by by-law”; (

b) in subsection (3) by adding “and the maximum rate of speed” after “school zone”. PROJET DE LOI Loi modifiant la

Loi sur les véhicules à moteur,

chapitre M-17 des Lois révisées de 1973, est modifié

a) à l’alinéa (1)a), par la suppression de « cinquante » et son remplacement par «t r e n t e»;

b) à l’alinéa (1)c), par la suppression de « quatre- vingt » et son remplacement par « cinquante »;

c) au paragraphe (2), par la suppression de « peut désigner » et son remplacement par « doit désigner »;

d) au paragraphe (3), par l’adjonction, après « zone d’école », de « et la vitesse maximale ». 2 L’article de la Loi est modifié

a) au paragraphe (2), par la suppression de « peut, par arrêté, » et son remplacement par « doit, par arrêté »;

b) au paragraphe (3), par l’adjonction, après « zone d’école », de « et la vitesse maximale ».
