Outside Member Transition Regulations

made under

Section 27 of the

House of Assembly Management Commission Act

S.N.S. 2010, c. 5

Citation

1 These regulations may be cited as the Outside Member Transition Regulations .

Interpretation

2 Words and expressions in these regulations have the same meaning as in the House of

Assembly Management Commission Regulations made under the House of Assembly

Management Commission Act .

Member who is no longer outside member may claim moving expenses

(1) A member who, as an outside member, was renting an apartment on April 9, 2014,

in the former City of Halifax and is no longer an outside member as a result of the

MLA Remuneration Review Panel Report of April 9, 2014, may claim the cost of

moving the contents of the member’s apartment to the member’s primary residence.

(2) A claim pursuant to this

Section must be paid from the member’s franking and

travel allowance.
