DESIGNATION AND TRANSFER OF RESPONSIBILITY

AMENDMENT REGULATION

on March 31, 2016 pursuant to sections 16 and 17 of the Government Organization

Act.

1 The Designation and Transfer of Responsibility

Regulation (AR 80/2012) is amended by this Regulation.

Section 1 is amended by adding the following after

subsection (5):

(6) The responsibility for the administration of the Regulatory

Review Secretariat is transferred to the President of Executive

Council.

Section 4.1 is amended by adding the following after

subsection (1):

(1.1) The responsibility for the Northern Alberta Development

Council Act is transferred to the Minister of Economic Development

and Trade.

Section 5 is amended by adding the following after

subsection (2.1):

(2.2) The Minister of Education is designated as the Minister

responsible for the Public Education Collective Bargaining Act,

except

section 8(6).

Section 8 is amended by adding the following after

subsection (2):

(2.1) The responsibility for

Schedule 3.1 to the Government

Organization Act is transferred to the responsibility of the Minister

of Environment and Parks.

Section 10 is amended

(

a) by repealing subsection (1)(m);

(

b) by repealing subsection (3.4) and substituting the

following:

(3.4) The responsibility for the Income and Employment

Supports Act is transferred as follows:

(

a) the responsibility for the Act, except

Part 5 and sections

3, 42(2) and 47, is transferred to the common

responsibility of the Minister of Human Services, the

Minister of Advanced Education and the Minister of

Labour;

(

b) the responsibility for

Part 5 of the Act is transferred to

the responsibility of the Minister of Human Services;

(

c) the responsibility for sections 3, 42(2) and 47 of the Act

is transferred to the common responsibility of the

Minister of Human Services, the Minister of Advanced

Education, the Minister of Health and the Minister of

Labour.

(

c) in subsection (4) by striking out "Children and Youth

Services Grants Regulation (AR 73/2001)" and

substituting "Human Services Grants Regulation

(AR 25/2016)";

(

d) by repealing subsection (5.3) and substituting the

following:

(5.3) The powers, duties and functions of the Minister in

Part

3 and in

section 93(1)(

a) of the Income Support, Training and

Health Benefits Regulation (AR 122/2011) are transferred to

the common responsibility of the Minister of Human Services,

the Minister of Advanced Education, the Minister of Health

and the Minister of Labour.

Section 10.1(1)(

f) is repealed.

Section 13 is amended

(

a) in subsection (1)(jj) by striking out "Schedules 3.1, 9

and 15" and substituting "Schedule 9";

(

b) by adding the following after subsection (1.4):

(1.5) The Minister of Justice and Solicitor General is designated

as the Minister responsible for the Public Sector Compensation

Transparency Act.

Section 13.1 is amended by adding the following after

subsection (1):

(1.1) The responsibility for

section 8(6) of the Public Education

Collective Bargaining Act is transferred to the Minister of Labour.

Section 18(8) to (10) are repealed.

11 Sections 2, 3, 5, 6(a), (

b) and (d), 7, 8(

a) and 10 come

into force on April 1, 2016.

section 16 of the Government Organization Act.

1 The Designation and Transfer of Responsibility

Regulation (AR 80/2012) is amended by this Regulation.

Section 4.1 is amended

(

a) by repealing subsection (1)(

d) and substituting the

following:

(

d) Alberta Research and Innovation Act;

(

b) by repealing subsections (2) and (3).

Section 9(2.1) is repealed.
