B.C. Reg. 144/2024 , deposited June 17, 2024, under the MISCELLANEOUS STATUTES AMENDMENT ACT, 2024 [section 81], MOTOR VEHICLE ACT [section 210] and OFFENCE ACT [section 132]. Order in Council 330/2024, approved and ordered June 17, 2024.

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor, by and with

the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that, effective August 7, 2024,

(

a) sections 9 and 10 of the Miscellaneous Statutes Amendment Act , 2024 , S.B.C. 2024, c. 10, are brought into force,

(

b) section 4.28 (2) (

f) of the Motor Vehicle Act Regulations, B.C. Reg. 26/58,

is amended by striking out ", while transporting a person in the lawful custody of

a sheriff",

(

c) section 5 (

c) of the Use of Electronic Devices While Driving Regulation, B.C. Reg. 308/2009,

is amended by striking out ", while transporting a person in the lawful custody of

a sheriff", and

(

d) the Violation Ticket Administration and Fines Regulation, B.C. Reg. 89/97,

is amended as set out in the attached Appendix.
