OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Natural Resources dated February 2, 2016, and pursuant to clauses 16(1)(

a) and (

b) of

Chapter 114 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Crown Lands Act , is pleased to approve the Minister of Natural Resources: (

a) granting an easement approximately 25 metres in width with respect to submerged Crown lands in the offshore of Nova Scotia, starting at Sheehan Cove, in the community of Herring Cove, Halifax County, and continuing to the outer edge of Nova Scotia’s offshore jurisdiction, shown as the bold dotted line on the plan marked

Schedule “A”, which is attached to and forms part of the Report and Recommendation, to Hibernia Atlantic Communications (Canada) Company and its successors and assigns, for the consideration of $62,305.87, plus any legal, appraisal, survey, or other costs associated with the transaction for the purpose of laying a submarine communication cable; (

b) amending Crown Lease No. 4313 for a waterlot which is outlined in bold on

Schedule “A”, to authorize the landing of an additional submerged cable in the leased area; and (

c) executing such documents as may be necessary to achieve the purposes of this Order.
