CHAPTER

An Act to amend The Saskatchewan Telecommunications Act (Assented to June 19, 1985) HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan, enacts as follows:

Short title This Act may be cited as The Saskatchewan Telecommunications Amendment Act, 1985. R.S.S. 1978, c.S-34 The Saskatchewan Telecommunications Act is amended in the manner set forth in this Act.

Section amended Subsection 3(3) is amended by striking out “Sask Tel” and substituting “SaskTel”.

Section amended The following clause is added after clause 9(1)(d): “(d.1) to exercise any powers, in addition to those described in clauses (

a) to (d), that may be designated and prescribed by the Lieutenant Governor in Council”.

Section amend Subsection 43(1) is amended by adding “ , for the purpose of allowing the corporation to better carry out its purposes and powers” after “with and between telecommunications systems”. REGINA, SASKATCHEWAN Printed by the authority of THE QUEEN’S PRINTER
