OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Chair of Treasury and Policy Board dated August 28, 2001, and pursuant to

Section 3 of

Chapter 496 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Voluntary Planning Act, is pleased to: (

a) appoint J.D. (Jim) Eisenhauer of Lunenburg, Lunenburg County, as a member of the Board of Directors of the Voluntary Planning Board and designate him as Chair, for a term of office commencing September 28, 2001 and ending May 31, 2003; (

b) appoint David Bellefontaine of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality, as a member of the Board of Directors of the Voluntary Planning Board and designate him as Vice-Chair, for a term of office commencing September 28, 2001 and ending May 31, 2005; (

c) appoint Louis R. Comeau of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality, as a member of the Board of Directors of the Voluntary Planning Board for a term of office commencing September 28, 2001 and ending May 31, 2004; (

d) appoint J. Colin Dodds of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality, as a member of the Board of Directors of the Voluntary Planning Board for a term of office commencing September 28, 2001 and ending May 31, 2003; (

e) appoint Suzanne Elizabeth Drapeau of Hatchet Lake, Halifax Regional Municipality, as a member of the Board of Directors of the Voluntary Planning Board for a term of office commencing September 28, 2001 and ending May 31, 2005; (

f) appoint Bernd Christmas of Sydney, Cape Breton Regional Municipality, as a member of the Board of Directors of the Voluntary Planning Board for a term of office commencing September 28, 2001 and ending May 31, 2004; (

g) appoint Mayann Francis of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality, as a member of the Board of Directors of the Voluntary Planning Board for a term of office commencing September 28, 2001 and ending May 31, 2005; (

h) appoint Hector J. Jacques of Dartmouth, Halifax Regional Municipality, as a member of the Board of Directors of the Voluntary Planning Board for a term of office commencing September 28, 2001 and ending May 31, 2003; (

i) appoint Rick MacDonald of Bedford, Halifax Regional Municipality, as a member of the Board of Directors of the Voluntary Planning Board for a term of office commencing September 28, 2001 and ending May 31, 2005; (

j) appoint Daniel William MacInnes of Antigonish, Antigonish County, as a member of the Board of Directors of the Voluntary Planning Board for a term of office commencing September 28, 2001 and ending May 31, 2004; (

k) appoint Dr. Teresa MacNeil of St. Peter's, Richmond County, as a member of the Board of Directors of the Voluntary Planning Board for a term of office commencing September 28, 2001 and ending May 31, 2004; (

l) appoint Robert Waldon of Bedford, Halifax Regional Municipality, as a member of the Board of Directors of the Voluntary Planning Board for a term of office commencing September 28, 2001 and ending May 31, 2003; (

m) appoint Vicki Harnish of Hubbards, Halifax Regional Municipality, as a member of the Board of Directors of the Voluntary Planning Board for a term of office commencing September 28, 2001 and ending May 31, 2005; (

n) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against the above named and indemnify them from personal liability provided that the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of their activities in relation to the appointment and is not based on fraud or criminal activities, and where the Province so defends them, the Province will be in control of the case.
