THE NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR GAZETTE May 14, 2010 163 URBAN AND RURAL PLANNING ACT NOTICE OF REGISTRATION TOWN OF LABRADOR CITY DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS AMENDMENT No. 7, 2010 TAKE NOTICE that the TOWN OF LABRADOR CITY Development Regulations Amendment No. 7, 2010, adopted by Council on the 6 th day of April, 2010, has been registered by the Minister of Municipal Affairs.

In general terms, Developm ent Regulations Amendment No. 7, 2010, will add a sub-clause to the Labrador City Development Regulations 21(3) that will provide Council with discretion to extend a Permit To Develop yearly, beyond the maximum of two (2) years, to a total of five (5) years for a major industrial/commercial development. The Town of Labrador City Development Regulations Amendment No. 7, 2010, comes in to effect on the day that this notice is published in The Newfoundland and Labrador Gazette.

In general terms the purpo se of the Development Regulations Amendment No. 1, 2010 is to allow a broader range of discretionary use home based businesses in the Residential Serviced (RS) Zone. In addition to medical and professional and personal serv ices uses, this amendment will enable Council to permit offices for any use and other services and businesses within a dwelling and an accessory building provided that the use is compatible with nearby residential properties and other uses within the area.

The Development Regulations Amendment No. 1, 2010 comes into effect on the day that this notice is published in The Newfoundland and Labrador Gazette. Anyone who wishes to inspect a copy of the Victoria Development Regulations Amendment No. 1, 2010 may do so at the Victoria Town Office during normal working hours.

In general terms the purpo se of the Development Regulations Amendment No. 22, 2009 is to allow a development which is not compliant with the minimum yard requirements in the Commercial and Community Services Zone to be extende d along the same lines as the original structure after notice has been given to abutting property owners.
