Statute: Boxing Authority Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister responsible for the Boxing Authority Act dated May 6, 2011, and pursuant to

Section 3 of

Chapter 43 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Boxing Authority Act, is pleased to: (

a) appoint Ricky Anderson of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality, Mickey MacDonald of Bedford, Halifax Regional Municipality, and Tom Davis of Westville, Pictou County, as members of the Nova Scotia Boxing Authority for a term commencing June 7, 2011 and expiring May 31, 2014; (

b) designate Mickey MacDonald of Bedford, Halifax Regional Municipality, as Chair of the Nova Scotia Boxing Authority for a term commencing June 7, 2011 and expiring May 31, 2014; (

c) determine that members of the Nova Scotia Boxing Authority shall receive remuneration in respect of their appointments at a rate of $25.00 per meeting; (

d) determine that the Chair of the Nova Scotia Boxing Authority shall receive remuneration in respect of his appointment at a rate of $2,000.00 per annum plus $45.00 per meeting; and (

e) determine that the Secretary-treasurer of the Nova Scotia Boxing Authority shall receive remuneration at a rate of $1,500.00 per annum plus $35.00 per meeting.
