Public Lands Act

PUBLIC LANDS ADMINISTRATION AMENDMENT REGULATION

on June 18, 2019 pursuant to sections 8, 9, 9.1, 71.1, 108 and 119 of the Public Lands

Act.

1 The Public Lands Administration Regulation

(AR 187/2011) is amended by this Regulation.

Section 1(1)(

o) is amended by adding the following after

subclause (xii):

(xv) lease for tourism and commercial recreation purposes,

3 The following is added after

section 143:

Division 8.1

Leases for Tourism and Commercial

Recreation Purposes

Definitions

143.1(1) In

section 1(1)(o)(xv) and this Division, "tourism and

commercial recreation" means accommodation or activities, or

services ancillary to the accommodation or activities, that

(

a) are provided or arranged, in exchange for payment, to

members of the public for their pleasure or leisure, and

(

b) are intended to produce an economic benefit.

(2) The activities referred to in subsection (1) include, without

limitation,

(

a) hunting as defined in the Wildlife Act,

(

b) camping,

(

c) fishing,

(

d) boating,

(

e) golfing,

(

f) nature study, including viewing, drawing and photographing,

(

g) staging for air travel, including hang gliding and hot air

ballooning, but not including air travel by aerodromes within

the meaning of the Aeronautics Act (Canada),

(

h) human powered travel, including, without limitation, hiking,

swimming, underwater diving, snorkelling, skiing,

snowshoeing, skating and sliding,

(

i) animal powered travel, including, without limitation, dog

sledding, horseback riding, carting and tracking, and

(

j) mechanized travel, including, without limitation, the use of

off-highway vehicles, on-highway vehicles and snow

vehicles, each as defined in

section 177(1).

Issuance of lease for tourism and

commercial recreation purposes

143.2(1) The director may issue leases for tourism and commercial

recreation purposes in respect of public land.

(2) The term of a lease for tourism and commercial recreation

purposes must not exceed 60 years.

4 This Regulation comes into force on November 1, 2019.

5 The Electronic Transactions Act Designation Regulation

(AR 35/2003) is amended in the

AMENDMENT REGULATION

1 The Oil Sands Allowed Costs (Ministerial) Regulation

(AR 231/2008) is amended by this Regulation.

Section 7(1)(

c) is amended by striking out "or in the form of

a reduction of royalty, royalty proceeds or royalty compensation by

virtue of IETP costs".

3 This Regulation comes into force on September 30, 2019.

Children with Disabilities Act.

1 The Family Support for Children with Disabilities

Regulation (AR 140/2004) is amended by this Regulation.

Section 4(1)(

i) is amended

(

a) in subclause (i)

(

i) by striking out "if the child's behaviour" and

substituting "if";

(ii) in paragraph (

A) by adding "the child's behaviour"

before "is unsafe";

(

b) in subclause (ii)

(

i) by striking out "and to teach the child's guardian to

assist" and substituting "in the child's development

and to assist the child's guardian to support";

(ii) in paragraph (

B) by adding "of an aide" before "is

likely";

(

c) in subclause (iii) by adding "and the child's guardian"

after "assist the child".

Section 8 is amended by striking out "June 30, 2019" and

substituting "June 30, 2024".

Alberta Regulation 60/2019

Traffic Safety Act

TRAFFIC SAFETY REGULATIONS AMENDMENT REGULATION

For information only: Made by the Minister of Transportation (M.O. 18/19) on June

26, 2019 pursuant to sections 81, 156 and 187(7) of the Traffic Safety Act.

1(1) The Commercial Vehicle Certificate and Insurance

Regulation (AR 314/2002) is amended by this section.

(2) Section 2(3) is amended by adding the following after

clause (d):

(

e) commercial vehicles equipped with permanently mounted

mobile service rigs.

2(1) The Vehicle Inspection Regulation (AR 211/2006) is

amended by this section.

(2) Section 30 is amended

(

a) in subsection (1)

(

i) in clause (

b) by adding "or a commercial vehicle

referred to in clause (d)" after "other than a bus";

(ii) by adding the following after clause (c):

(

d) in the case of a commercial vehicle equipped with

a permanently mounted mobile service rig, the

60th month from the month in which the certificate

and decal were issued.

(

b) by adding the following after subsection (2):

(3) A certificate or decal issued in respect of a commercial

vehicle equipped with a permanently mounted mobile service rig

that is in effect on the coming into force of subsection (1)(

d) expires in accordance with subsection (1)(d).
