OIC Text: The Governor in Council, on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Health and Wellness and the Minister of Public Works dated January 22, 2025, and pursuant to

Section 16 of

Chapter 197 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Health Services and Insurance Act , and

Section 77 of

Chapter 2 of the Acts of 2010, the Finance Act, is pleased, for the purpose of capital investment in the Halifax Infirmary Expansion Project Acute Care Tower, effective on and after February 11, 2025, to: (

a) approve the Minister of Health and Wellness making a capital grant on behalf of the Province to the Nova Scotia Health Authority; (

b) authorize the Minister of Health and Wellness and the Minister of Public Works, as applicable, entering into net debt obligations by acquiring tangible capital assets relating to the Halifax Infirmary Expansion Project, and executing such agreements or other documents as may be required in connection with such transactions; and (

c) authorize the Nova Scotia Health Authority entering into net debt obligations by acquiring tangible capital assets, and executing such agreements or other documents as may be required in connection with such transactions.
