Order in Council 509/2017

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas the Lieutenant Governor in Council has appointed Stephen Orsini to serve as Secretary of the Cabinet pursuant to the prerogative of Her Majesty the Queen in Right of Ontario to appoint persons to serve Her Majesty’s Government of Ontario in the discharge of its executive obligations and responsibilities;

And

whereas the Lieutenant Governor in Council finds it necessary to revise Stephen Orsini’s remuneration during his appointment as Secretary of the Cabinet;

Now therefore pursuant to the authority cited above:

Effective April 1, 2017, Stephen Orsini shall be paid an annual base salary of $368,594.00;

Effective April 1, 2018 and effective April 1 of each year thereafter during his appointment as Secretary of the Cabinet, Stephen Orsini’s annual base salary shall be adjusted by five percent (5%), subject to any limitations imposed by law;

And that Order in Council 850/2014, dated June 25, 2014, be revoked on March 31, 2017.
