Definitions 1 The following

definitions apply in this Act. "appropriation" means a sum voted for operating expenditures or capital investment as set out in th e Estimates. (« crédit ») "Estimates" means the Manitoba Estimates of Expenditure for the 2010-11 fiscal year as tabled i n the Assembly. (« budget ») "2010-11 fiscal year" means the period beginning April 1, 2010, and ending March 31, 2011. Expenditure authority — operating 2(1) For the 2010-11 fiscal year, operating expenditures of up to $10,536,565,000 may be incurred for the public service according to the appropriations set out in Part A of the Estimates and summarized in th e Schedule.
