EXPLANATORY NOTES

This Bill would amend the Health and Community Services Act to

add regulation-making power

respecting approved designers; and

confirm that the minister may

set fees and establish forms for the purpose and administration of the Act.

Be it enacted by the Lieutenant-Governor and

House of Assembly in Legislative Session convened, as follows:

as amended

1. Subsection 11(1) of the Health and Community Services Act is amended by adding immediately

after paragraph (

j) the following:

(j.1) respecting the qualifications of and the

process of approval for a person to be registered as an approved designer for

the purpose of determining whether sites are suitable for the installation of sewage

systems and designing sewage systems for sites that are suitable;

2. The Act is amended by adding immediately after

section 11 the following:

Fees and forms

11.1 The

minister may set fees and establish forms for the purpose and administration of

this Act and the regulations.
