EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Bill would amend the Motorized Snow Vehicles and All-Terrain

Vehicles Act to enable regulations prescribing the powers of a peace

officer to establish check stations to ensure compliance with the Act and the regulations.

Be it enacted by the Lieutenant-Governor and

House of Assembly in Legislative Session convened, as follows:

1. Subsection 21(1) of the Motorized Snow Vehicles and All-Terrain Vehicles Act is amended by

adding immediately after paragraph (

b) the following:

(b.1) prescribing the powers of a peace officer to

establish check stations to ensure compliance with the Act and the regulations;
