Printed by the Queen's Printer for the Province of Alberta, EDMONTON Bill BILL THE NATURAL GAS PRICING AGREEMENT AMENDMENT ACT, 1978 (Assented to ,1978) HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, enacts as follows: 1 The Natural Gas Pricing Agreement Act is amended by this Act. 2

Section is amended (

a) by repealing subsection (4) (

a) and substituting the following: (

a) the original buyer shall not, upon a resale within Alberta of that gas or any constituent derived from that gas, include the price adjustment in the price of the gas or the constituent on the resale or otherwise pass on the price adjustment to the buyer of the gas or the constituent on the resale, but (

b) by repealing subsection (4.1) (

a) and substituting the following: (

a) the second buyer shall not, upon a resale within Alberta of that gas or any constituent derived from that gas, include the price adjustment in the price of the gas or the constituent on the resale or otherwise pass on the price adjustment to the buyer of the gas or the constituent on the resale, but This Act comes into force on the day upon which it is assented to. 1 Explanatory Notes This Bill will amend

chapter of the Statutes of Alberta, 1975(2). 2 Section 10(4) and (4.1) read in part:

(4) Where an original buyer is required to buy gas at the regulated field price by virtue o/this section, (

a) the original buyer shall not, upon a resale 0/ that gas within Alberta, include the price adjustment in the price 0/ the gas on the resale or otherwise pass on the price acijustment to the buyer 0/ the gas on the resale, but

(4.1) Where a second buyer is required to buy marketable gas at the regulated .field price by virtue o/subsection (3.1), clause (c), (
