Order in Council 50/2019

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas by Order in Council O.C. 49/2019 dated January 17, 2019 the position of Special Advisor to the Premier and Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing (“Special Advisor”) was established;

Therefore, pursuant to the prerogative of Her Majesty the Queen in Right of Ontario to provide for the remuneration of advisors who serve Her Majesty’s Government in the discharge of its executive obligations and responsibilities, the following remuneration is determined

The Special Advisor shall be remunerated at the rate of $1000 per diem , to a maximum of $150,000 annually, for each day that he or she is engaged in the duties of Special Advisor.

The Special Advisor shall be reimbursed for reasonable expenses incurred while discharging his or her duties and in accordance with the Management Board of Cabinet Travel, Meal and Hospitality Expenses Directive.
