An Act to amend The Daylight Saving Time Act (Assented to , 1970) HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Alberta, enacts as follows: 1. The Daylight Saving Time Act is hereby amended. 2.

Section is amended by adding the following subsec tion:

(4) In any year following a year in which subsection (1) of

section was not proclaimed to be in force, should a petition, signed by at least 20,000 electors in the Province be presented to the Lieutenant-Governor in Council before May 1st of that year, requesting a trial run for Daylight Saving Time, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council may pro claim subsection (1) of

section to be in force through out the Province for the year in which the petition was received. 3. This Act comes into force on the day upon which it is assented to. Explanatory Notes I. This Bill amends

Chapter of the Revised Statutes. 2. Subsection (1) of
