OIC Text: The Governor in Council, on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Public Works dated May 1, 2024, and pursuant to
Section 18 of
Chapter 371 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Highways Act, and
Section 80 of
Chapter 156 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Expropriation Act , is pleased to: (
a) extinguish the right of the public to use those portions of the public highway, identified as Parcels A, B and C, containing an area of 0.49 acres, located at or near Dunphy Lane, East Chezzetcook, Halifax County, more particularly described in
Schedule “A” and as shown on
Schedule “B” attached to and forming a part of the Report and Recommendation; (
b) authorize the conveyance of the surplus lands, Parcels A, B and C to Debra Renouf of East Chezzetcook, Halifax County, as part of a purchase settlement for the Trans Canada Highway 107 East Chezzetcook, Exit 21, Ramp Project; (
c) authorize the Minister of Public Works to make and execute a Deed of Conveyance in such form as the Minister determines to effect the conveyance of the lands herein above described; and (
d) authorize the Minister of Public Works to execute such documents as may be necessary to achieve the purposes of this Order.
