OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Justice dated October 4, 2000, pursuant to Sections 238 and 239 of

Chapter 10 of the Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1994-95, the Workers' Compensation Act, is pleased to: (

a) reappoint the following as full-time appeal commissioners of the Workers' Compensation Appeals Tribunal, each for a term of office extending from February 1, 2002, up to and including February 28, 2002, subject to dismissal for just cause: Allen G. Murray of Antigonish, Antigonish County; Michael R. Hadskis of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality; and Alexander C.W. MacIntosh of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality; (

b) reappoint K. Andrew MacNeil of Antigonish, Antigonish County, as a full-time appeal commissioner of the Workers' Compensation Appeals Tribunal for a term of office extending from February 1, 2002, up to and including February 28, 2003, subject to dismissal for just cause; (

c) reappoint Alison Hickey of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality, as a full-time appeal commissioner of the Workers' Compensation Appeals Tribunal for a term of office extending from December 20, 2001, up to and including February 28, 2003, subject to dismissal for just cause; (

d) reappoint the following as full-time appeal commissioners of the Workers' Compensation Appeals Tribunal, each for a term of office extending from July 30, 2002, up to and including February 28, 2003, subject to dismissal for just cause: Joyce Dassonville of Dartmouth, Halifax Regional Municipality; Leanne Rodwell Hayes of Windsor Junction, Halifax Regional Municipality; (

e) reappoint Andrea L. Smillie of R.R.#3 Lunenburg, Lunenburg County, as a full-time appeal commissioner of the Workers' Compensation Appeals Tribunal for a term of office extending from December 23, 2002, up to and including February 28, 2003, subject to dismissal for just cause; (

f) determine that where Allen G. Murray, Michael R. Hadskis, Alexander C.W. MacIntosh, K. Andrew MacNeil, Alison Hickey, Joyce Dassonville, Leanne Rodwell Hayes and Andrea L. Smillie cease to be appeal commissioners for any reason other than dismissal, Allen G. Murray, Michael R. Hadskis, Alexander C.W. MacIntosh, K. Andrew MacNeil, Alison Hickey, Joyce Dassonville, Leanne Rodwell Hayes and Andrea L. Smillie shall have and exercise the jurisdiction of appeal commissioners, including the power to complete any unfinished matter and give a decision therein until such time that they have completed any unfinished matters and given decisions therein; (

g) continue to fix the remuneration of Allen G. Murray, Michael R. Hadskis, Alexander C.W. MacIntosh, K. Andrew MacNeil, Alison Hickey, Joyce Dassonville, Leanne Rodwell Hayes and Andrea L. Smillie as full-time appeal commissioners in accordance with a salary range equivalent to the Civil Service Management Compensation Pay Plan (MCP 20) in the range of $45,855.16 to $59,611.50 subject to all applicable enactments; and (

h) order that civil service benefits be extended to Allen G. Murray, Michael R. Hadskis, Alexander C.W. MacIntosh, K. Andrew MacNeil, Alison Hickey, Joyce Dassonville, Leanne Rodwell Hayes and Andrea L. Smillie on the same terms and conditions as they are extended to members of the civil service.
