B.C. Reg. 194/2010 , deposited June 25, 2010, pursuant to the MISCELLANEOUS STATUTES AMENDMENT ACT (No. 2), 2010 [Section 190] and the OFFENCE ACT [Section 132]. Order in Council 470/2010, approved and ordered June 24, 2010.

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Administrator, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that

(

a) sections 171 (

b) and 173,

section 174 (

g) as it enacts

section 216 (5) (a), (

c) and (

d) of the Motor Vehicle Act, and

section 175 (b), (

c) and (

d) of the Miscellaneous Statutes Amendment Act (No. 2), 2010 , S.B.C. 2010, c. 6, are brought into force,

(

b) the Motor Vehicle Act Regulations, B.C. Reg. 26/58, is amended as set out in the attached Schedule, and

(

c) Schedule 3 of the Violation Ticket Administration and Fines Regulation, B.C. Reg. 89/97, is amended by striking out the item for

section 25.17 of the Motor Vehicle Act Regulations.

Schedule

1 The Motor Vehicle Act Regulations, B.C. Reg. 26/58, is amended by repealing

section 25.17.

Section 25.31 is amended by striking out " 25.17, ".

3 The following

section is added:

Grounds for cancellation of authorization

25.32

(1) The director May cancel an authorization granted to a person under

section 217 (1) (

a) of the Act for violation of one or more of sections 25.08 (4), 25.09, 25.13 (1), (2) and (3), 25.22 (1), 25.27 (1) and 25.28.

(2) A cancellation under subsection (1) May cancel an authorization entirely or for inspection of a class of vehicle.

(3) Immediately after being notified of a cancellation under subsection (1), the person to whom it was granted must return the authorization to the director.
