Regulations

and the Wild Life Act , I make the following Order.

This Order may be cited as the Wolf Hunting Order, Newfoundland and Labrador .

Definition

In this Order, "licence" means a licence issued under

section 15 of the Wild Life

Regulations .

Devices permitted

A person shall only shoot a wolf under a licence using

(

a) a centre-fire rifle not greater than .225 calibre; or

(

b) a shotgun using shot size 2 or larger.

Prohibition

3.1

Notwithstanding paragraph 3(a), a person shall not carry, transport or possess a firearm referred to in paragraph 3(

a) in any area on the Island of Newfoundland frequented by wild life

during any part of the open season within the period September 1 to December 31, inclusive, each year.

Bag limit

The bag limit shall be one wolf per licence.
