OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Agriculture dated August 7, 2009, and pursuant to

Section 3 of

Chapter 113 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Crop and Livestock Insurance Act, is pleased to: (

a) reappoint R. Michael Walsh of Berwick, Kings County, as a member of the Nova Scotia Crop and Livestock Insurance Commission for a further three year term commencing October 6, 2009; (

b) reappoint Greg Coldwell of Port Williams, Kings County, as a member of the Nova Scotia Crop and Livestock Insurance Commission for a further three year term commencing October 6, 2009; (

c) determine the rate of remuneration for carrying out duties as a member of the Nova Scotia Crop and Livestock Insurance Commission to be $100 per day; (

d) determine that reasonable expenses necessarily incurred by the member in carrying out his duties shall be paid in accordance with provincial government policy; (

e) order that as a condition of their appointment, R. Michael Walsh and Greg Coldwell, shall be bound by the principles and purposes of the Corporate Code of Conduct for Civil Servants and

Chapter 4 of the Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1991, the Members and Public Employees Disclosure Act; and (

f) the Province shall defend, negotiate, or settle claims or charges made against them and indemnify them from personal liability, provided the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of activities in relation to their appointment and is not based on fraud or criminal activity and where the Province so defends them, the Province will be in control of the case.
