Statute: Advisory Council on the Status of Women Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister Responsible for the Advisory Council on the Status of Women Act dated January 7, 2020, and pursuant to

Section 3 of

Chapter 3 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Advisory Council on the Status of Women Act , is pleased to: (

a) reappoint Karen Bernard of Cape Breton Regional Municipality (Eskasoni), Sara Greenblatt of Halifax Regional Municipality (Halifax) and Cheryl Stewart-Walsh of Halifax Regional Municipality (Dartmouth), as members of the Nova Scotia Advisory Council on the Status of Women, each for a term of three years commencing February 28, 2020; (

b) appoint Dianne Looker of Halifax Regional Municipality (Halifax), Sarah Fraser of Halifax Regional Municipality (Dartmouth), Eileen Bruleigh of Cape Breton Regional Municipality (Sydney River), Collette Robert of Halifax Regional Municipality (Halifax), Afolake Awoyiga of Halifax Regional Municipality (Sackville) and Victoria Fraser of Pictou, Pictou County, as members of the Nova Scotia Advisory Council on the Status of Women, each for a term of three years commencing February 28, 2020; and (

c) order that Karen Bernard, Sara Greenblatt, Cheryl Stewart-Walsh, Dianne Looker, Sarah Fraser, Eileen Bruleigh, Collette Robert, Afolake Awoyiga and Victoria Fraser each be remunerated for their service in the amount of $100 per day plus travel expenses, payable in accordance with the travel policies and guidelines of the Province of Nova Scotia.
