Order in Council 1759/2017

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas by Order in Council numbered O.C. 2594/82, dated October 1, 1982, Dr. Karen J. Acheson was appointed a Coroner for Ontario;

And

Whereas by Order in Council numbered O.C. 3254/91, dated December 19, 1991, Dr. Karen J. Acheson was appointed as Regional Coroner for the South Georgian Bay Region of Ontario, comprised of the counties of Bruce, Grey, Dufferin, Simcoe, Wellington and the Regional Municipality of Waterloo;

And

Whereas by Order in Council numbered 1827/2001, dated August 8, 2001, Dr. Karen J. Acheson was appointed as Regional Coroner for the South Georgian Bay Region of Ontario, comprised of the counties of Dufferin, Oxford, Simcoe, Wellington and the Regional Municipalities of Halton and Waterloo;

And

Whereas Dr. Karen J. Acheson retired and has, in writing effective January 31, 2014, resigned her appointment as Coroner and her appointment as Regional Coroner for the South Georgian Bay Region of Ontario;

Therefore pursuant to subsection 3(1) of the Coroners Act , as amended, Order in Council numbered O.C. 2594/82, dated October 1, 1982, appointing Dr. Karen J. Acheson as a Coroner for Ontario is hereby revoked effective the date of this Order in Council, and pursuant to subsection 5(1) of the Coroners Act, Orders in Council numbered O.C. 3254/91 and O.C. 1827/2001, appointing Dr. Karen J. Acheson as Regional Coroner for the South Georgian Bay Region of Ontario, are hereby revoked effective the date of this Order in Council.
