OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the President of the Executive Council dated January 6, 2026, and pursuant to Sections 7 and 30 of
Chapter 376 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Act , and
Section 10 of
Chapter 70 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Civil Service Act , is pleased, effective January 12, 2026, to: (
a) revoke the appointment of Kathleen Trott as Deputy Minister of the Office of Addictions and Mental Health; (
b) revoke the appointment of Jennifer Glennie, K.C. as Deputy Attorney General and Deputy Minister of Justice; (
c) appoint Jennifer Glennie, K.C. as Deputy Minister of Addictions and Mental Health; (
d) appoint Alexander Ikejiani as Deputy Attorney General and Deputy Minister of Justice; (
e) designate Alexander Ikejiani as a deputy head within the meaning of the Civil Service Act ; (
f) direct that Alexander Ikejiani shall receive benefits associated with the position of Deputy Minister as may be determined by the Deputy Minister of the Office of the Premier; and (
g) fix and determine the salary of Alexander Ikejiani to be at such rate as may be determined by the Deputy Minister of the Office of the Premier in accordance with the Senior Officials Pay Plan as it applies to Deputy Ministers.
