OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Health dated April 12, 2002, and pursuant to
Section 61 of
Chapter 208 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Hospitals Act, is pleased to: (
a) appoint the following persons as members of the Review Board for all facilities under the Hospitals Act, each for a term of office of three years commencing April 1, 2002 and ending March 31, 2005: Dr. Paul Reynolds of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality; Dr. Diane McIntosh of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality; and Dr. Lawrence Buffett of Dartmouth, Halifax Regional Municipality; and (
b) determine that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against Dr. Reynolds, Dr. McIntosh and/or Dr. Buffett and indemnify them from personal liability provided, however, the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of their activities in relation to the appointments and is not based on fraud or criminal activity and provided that the Province will be in control of a case which it defends.
