Order in Council 837/2019

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

whereas by Order in Council numbered O.C. 994/2017, dated May 10, 2017, Howard Leibovich, then Director of Crown Law Office – Criminal, was appointed as a part-time member of the Death Investigation Oversight Council, effective from the 10 th day of May 2017, to serve at the pleasure of the Lieutenant Governor in Council for a period not exceeding three years from the effective date of the appointment;

and

whereas Howard Leibovich has been appointed to be a Judge of the Superior Court of Justice of Ontario and a judge ex officio of the Court of Appeal for Ontario;

therefore pursuant to subsection 8(2) of the Coroners Act , as amended, Order in Council numbered O.C. 994/2017, dated May 10, 2017, appointing Howard Leibovich as a part time member of the Death Investigation Oversight Council is hereby revoked effective the date of this Order in Council.
