Order in Council 106/2018

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas pursuant to

section 4 of the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities Act, R.S.O. 1990

chapter M.19, the Lieutenant Governor in Council or the Minister may appoint such advisory committees or other consulting bodies as are considered necessary from time to time;

And

whereas it is desirable to establish a task force to provide advice to the Minister of Advanced Education and Skills Development on issues relating to the continued success of Ontario’s colleges of applied arts and technology;

Now therefore a Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology Task Force is established for a period commencing the date of this Order in Council and ending no later than March 31, 2019, to advise the Minister of Advanced Education and Skills Development on issues relating to the continued success of Ontario’s colleges of applied arts and technology, in accordance with Terms of Reference established by the Minister in consultation with the Chair;

Further, the Task Force shall be composed of members appointed by the Minister for terms that end no later than March 31, 2019, and the Minister shall designate one member as chair.

And further, the appointments made to the Task Force shall be at the pleasure of the Minister.
