OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the President of the Executive Council dated August 31, 2021, and pursuant to Sections 2A, 4 and 4A of

Chapter 376 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Act , is pleased, effective August 31, 2021, to: (

a) direct that the Department of Municipal Affairs be renamed the Department of Municipal Affairs and Housing; (

b) assign all affairs and matters relating to housing which have heretofore been assigned by or under any Act of the Legislature to the Department of Infrastructure and Housing or the Minister of Infrastructure and Housing to the Department of Municipal Affairs and Housing or the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing, as the case may be; (

c) direct that the Department of Transportation and Active Transit be renamed the Department of Public Works; (

d) assign all affairs and matters relating to infrastructure which have heretofore been assigned by or under any Act of the Legislature to the Department of Infrastructure and Housing or the Minister of Infrastructure and Housing to the Department of Public Works or the Minister of Public Works, as the case may be; and (

e) abolish the Department of Infrastructure and Housing.
