Statute: Disabled Persons' Commission Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Community Services dated December 4, 2002, and pursuant to Sections 4 and 5 of

Chapter 130 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Disabled Persons' Commission Act, is pleased to: (

a) appoint the following persons as members of the Disabled Persons Commission, each for a term of office of two years commencing December 16, 2002 and ending December 15, 2004: Joanne Bond, Department of Community Services; Johanne Caron of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality; Dr. John Campbell, Department of Health; Berkley F. Evans of North Sydney, Cape Breton Regional Municipality; Rene Frigault, Service Nova Scotia and Municipal Relations; John Kyle of Stellarton, Pictou County; (

b) reappoint the following persons as members of the Disabled Persons Commission, each for a term of office of two years commencing December 16, 2002 and ending December 15, 2004: Heather Chandler, Public Service Commission; William Crawford of Yarmouth, Yarmouth County; Ralph D. Ferguson of Pictou, Pictou County; Brian Tapper of Dartmouth, Halifax Regional Municipality; H. Jane Warren of Wolfville, Kings County; Shaun Whittleton, Department of Education; and (

c) determine the remuneration of those members who are not employees of the Province of Nova Scotia at the rate of $48.50 per meeting day.
