OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Justice dated August 4, 2005, and pursuant to

Section 672.38 of

Chapter C-46 of the Revised Statutes of Canada, 1985, the Criminal Code, is pleased to: (

a) extend the appointment of J. Walter Thompson, Q.C., of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality, as a member of the Nova Scotia Review Board for a period of 4 months commencing June 28, 2005; (

b) determine the remuneration of J. Walter Thompson, Q.C., be at the rate of $75.00 per hour; and (

c) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against the above appointee and indemnify him from personal liability provided the Province is satisfied the claim arises out of his activities in relation to his appointment and is not based on fraud or criminal activity and where the Province so defends him, the Province will be in control of the case.
