OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Deputy President of the Executive Council dated October 21, 2010, and pursuant to Sections 49 and 52 of

Chapter 1 (1992 Supplement) of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the House of Assembly Act, and

Section 19 of

Chapter 235 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the

Interpretation Act, is pleased, effective November 8, 2010, to (

a) subject to clause (b), appoint Annette M. Boucher, Q.C., Barrister, of Fall River, in the County of Halifax, an Assistant Clerk of the House of Assembly and Legislative Counsel; (

b) determine the appointment be for a probationary period and that the appointment be made permanent after one year of satisfactory service as is determined by the Chair of the House of Assembly Management Commission; (

c) determine the salary scale of Annette M. Boucher, Q.C., to be at the Civil Service scale in force from time to time for Solicitors in the Department of Justice and determine the salary of Annette M. Boucher, Q.C., to be at such class and level as is determined from time to time by the Chair of the House of Assembly Management Commission; (

d) direct that Annette M. Boucher, Q.C., in carrying out her duties as Assistant Clerk of the House of Assembly shall be subject to the supervision, direction and control of the Chief Clerk of the House of Assembly; and (

e) direct that Annette M. Boucher, Q.C., in carrying out her duties as legislative Counsel shall be subject to the supervision, direction and control of the Chief Legislative Counsel.
