2005 pursuant to sections 108 and 115 of the Electric Utilities Act.

1 The Regulated Default Supply Regulation (AR 168/2003)

is amended by this Regulation.

Section 9(1) is amended by striking out "April 1, 2005"

and substituting "July 1, 2005".

Act

1 The Management Employees Pension Plan (AR 367/93) is

amended by this Regulation.

Section 13(1) is amended by striking out "9.50%" and

substituting "10.50%".

Section 15(1) is amended by striking out "13.10%" and

substituting "18.0%".

4 This Regulation comes into force on July 1, 2005.

ALBERTA RULES OF COURT AMENDMENT REGULATION

section 16 of the Court of Appeal Act,

section 20 of the

Court of Queen's Bench Act and

section 107 of the Civil Enforcement Act.

1 The Alberta Rules of Court (AR 390/68) are amended by

this Regulation.

2 The following is added after Rule 515(4.1):

(4.2) Within 10 days after the agreement as to the contents of an

appeal book in accordance with this Rule is made or deemed to have

been made, or the contents are fixed, the appellant must file either

(

a) a copy of the written order given to the office of transcript

management services, or to a commercial supplier, for the

preparation and printing of the appeal book, or

(

b) a written undertaking signed by the solicitor of record for the

appellant to promptly prepare and file the appeal book.

3 Rule 515.1(1) is repealed and the following is

substituted:

General Appeal List

515.1(1) The Registrar shall enter a case on the General Appeal

List whenever the first of the following events occurs:

(a) 3 months have elapsed since the notice of appeal was

filed and no agreement as to the contents or order fixing

contents has been filed or entered;

(b) 6 months have elapsed since the notice of appeal was

filed;

(

c) the appeal books have been filed;

(

d) a supervising judge directs that the case be so entered.

4 Rule 516.1 is repealed and the following is substituted:

Time between service and hearing

516.1(1) In this Rule, "business day" means a day other than a

Saturday or a holiday.

(2) Unless leave is given, there must be 21 or more business days

between the service of a notice of motion and the actual day for the

hearing, when the relief sought is

(

a) leave to appeal,

(

b) dismissal of an appeal,

(

c) admission of new evidence,

(

d) restoring an appeal to the general list,

(

e) extending time to appeal, or

(

f) relief that one judge cannot grant.

(3) In all other motions to a judge, unless leave is given, there

must be 7 or more business days between the service of a notice of

motion and the actual day for the hearing.

5 The following is added after Rule 516.1:

Deadline or time limit

516.2 Except with leave of the Court or a judge, no motion to

introduce new evidence in the Court of Appeal may be made unless

written notice of it is filed on or before the day that the appellant's

factum is filed.

AMENDMENT REGULATION

section 64 of the Traffic Safety Act.

1 The Operator Licensing and Vehicle Control Regulation

(AR 320/2002) is amended by this Regulation.

Section 66.1(6) is amended by adding "or on a farm vehicle

with Class 2 registration under

section 77" after "passenger class

registration".

FRANCHISES ACT EXEMPTION AMENDMENT REGULATION

1 The Franchises Act Exemption Regulation (AR 312/2000)

is amended by this Regulation.

Section 3 is amended by striking out "November 30, 2005"

and substituting "November 30, 2015".

Traffic Safety Act

COMMERCIAL VEHICLE DIMENSION AND WEIGHT

AMENDMENT REGULATION

(M.O. 05/05) on March 29, 2005 pursuant to

section 156 of the Traffic Safety Act.

1 The Commercial Vehicle Dimension and Weight

Regulation (AR 315/2002) is amended by this Regulation.

Section 19 is amended

(

a) in subsection (1)(

e) by adding "for each vehicle to

which the permit relates" after "the fee";

(

b) in subsection (7) by adding "unless a discount of the fee

under subsection (9) reduces the fee to an amount less than

$15, and for the purpose of subsection (1)(e), the minimum

fee shall be calculated for each vehicle to which the permit

relates" after "$15";

(

c) by adding the following after subsection (8):

(9) The Director may reduce a fee payable under this

section

by $5 where the application for a permit is submitted on an

internet website maintained for that purpose by the Department,

and for the purpose of applying the fee discount to a permit

issued under subsection (1)(e), the fee discount shall be

calculated for each vehicle to which the permit relates.

3 This Regulation comes into force on May 1, 2005.
