OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Labour dated February 25, 1999, pursuant to
Section 6 of
Chapter 337 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Pay Equity Act, and
Section 18 of
Chapter 235 of the said Revised Statutes, the
Interpretation Act, is pleased to: (
a) reappoint Lorraine Sheppard of New Waterford, Cape Breton Regional Municipality, as a member of the Pay Equity Commission and continue her designation as the member to preside over meetings of the Pay Equity Commission, for a term of office of three years commencing April 1, 1999; and (
b) fix the remuneration of Lorraine Sheppard at $2,000.00 per annum, plus $100.00 per diem for each day that she presides over meetings of the Pay Equity Commission; (
c) reappoint Margaret Blakeney of Kentville, Kings County, as a member of the Pay Equity Commission and continue her designation as the member to preside over meetings of the Pay Equity Commission in the absence of Lorraine Sheppard, for a term of office of three years commencing April 1, 1999; (
d) fix the remuneration of Margaret Blakeney at $100.00 per diem for each day that she attends to the business of the Pay Equity Commission as a regular member, and at the rate of $125.00 per diem for each day that she presides over the meetings of the Pay Equity Commission in the absence of Lorraine Sheppard; (
e) reappoint Karen Field of Bridgewater, Lunenburg County, and Mary Dee MacPherson of Springhill, Cumberland County, as members of the Pay Equity Commission for a term of office of three years commencing April 1, 1999; and (
f) fix the remuneration of Karen Field and Mary Dee MacPherson at a rate of $100.00 per diem for each day they attend to the business of the Pay Equity Commission as members.
