Statute: Highway Workers Collective Bargaining Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Transportation and Public Works dated April 16, 2002, and pursuant to Sections 5, 6 and 8 of

Chapter 1 of the Acts of 1997 (2nd Session), the Highway Workers Collective Bargaining Act, is pleased to: (

a) appoint Susan Ashley of Wolfville, Kings County, as a member and designate her as Chair of the Highway Workers Employee Relations Board for a term of office of three (3) years, commencing May 10, 2002, and to determine her remuneration at the rate of $10,000.00 per annum, and, in addition, $150.00 per day while sitting as a Board member at a hearing, plus actual and reasonable expenses as may be incurred by her in the discharge of her duties; (

b) appoint Barney Dobbin of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality, as a member of the Highway Workers Employee Relations Board for a term of office of three (3) years, commencing May 10, 2002, and to determine his remuneration at the rate of $2,000.00 per annum, and, in addition, $150.00 per day while sitting as a Board member at a hearing, plus actual and reasonable expenses as may be incurred by him in the discharge of his duties; and (

c) reappoint Malcolm Boyle of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality, as a member of the Highway Workers Employee Relations Board for a term of office of three (3) years, commencing May 10, 2002, and to determine his remuneration at the rate of $2,000.00 per annum, and, in addition, $150.00 per day while sitting as a Board member at a hearing, plus actual and reasonable expenses as may be incurred by him in the discharge of his duties.
