An Act to amend The Public Health Act (Assented to , 1969) HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Asse,mbly of the Province of Alberta, enacts as follows: 1. The Public Health Act is hereby amended. 2. rSection ,39 is struck out. 3. This Act comes into force on the day upon which it is assented to. Explanatory Notes I. This Bill amends

chapter of the -Revised Statutes. 2.

Section presently reads: 39.

(1) The Lieutenant Governor in Council may appoint a Board of Visitors 'consisting of not more than f.our members.

(2) The Board of Visitors shall visit and inspect, at least once in each year, each mental hospital, scanatorium or other institution operated ,or administered by the Department of Public Health and submit a report thereon to the Minister.

(3) The members of the Board of Visitors shall, out of funds appropriated by the Legislature for the purpose, be paid an honorarium and such travelling expenses as may be appr,oved from time to time by the Lieutenant Governor in Council. The Board of Visitors will instead be established under
