OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Natural Resources dated May 4, 2026, and pursuant to clauses 16(1)(
a) and (
b) of
Chapter 114 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Crown Lands Act, is pleased to approve the Minister of Natural Resources: (
a) selling Crown lands currently identified as a portion of PID 41561564 and containing 1.4 hectares (3.4 acres) located in Waverley, Halifax County, and shown outlined in bold on
Schedule “A” attached to and forming part of the Report and Recommendation, to the Cheema Aquatic Club, or its approved successors or assigns, for the nominal consideration of $1.00; (
b) granting an easement being a maximum of 12 metres (40 feet) wide to the Cheema Aquatic Club, on Crown lands currently identified as a portion of PIDs 40104069, 41558826 and 41558818, for a one-time fee of $747.83 per hectare, with a minimum cost of $298.78, plus HST (to be verified by a survey), shown in bold and dashed lines on the plan marked
Schedule “B” attached to and forming part of the Report and Recommendation; and (
c) executing such documents as may be necessary to achieve the purposes of this Order.
