OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Agriculture dated December 16, 2011, and pursuant to
Section 3 of
Chapter 7 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Agriculture and Rural Credit Act, is pleased to: (
a) reappoint Angela Hunter as a member of the Nova Scotia Farm Loan Board for a term of 3 years commencing February 25, 2012; (
b) appoint Greg Sheffer as a member of the Nova Scotia Farm Loan Board for a term of 3 years commencing February 25, 2012; (
c) appoint Arnold Park as member of the Nova Scotia Farm Loan Board for a term of 3 years commencing May 1, 2012; (
d) revoke the designation of Stephen Healy as Vice Chair and designate Steven Healy as Chair of the Nova Scotia Farm Loan Board effective May 1, 2012 for the remainder of his term; (
e) designate Angela Hunter as Vice Chair of the Nova Scotia Farm Loan Board effective May 1, 2012 for the duration of her term as determined in
a) above; (
f) order that Angela Hunter, Greg Sheffer and Arnold Park be remunerated for service as members in the amount of $100 per day and be reimbursed for reasonable expenses incurred in fulfilling their duties as members provided such reimbursements do not exceed those normally paid to members of the civil service; (
g) order that Stephen Healy be remunerated for his service as member and Chair in the amount of $150 per day and be reimbursed for reasonable expenses incurred in fulfilling his duties provided such reimbursements do not exceed those normally paid to members of the civil service; (
h) bind the Members as a condition of appointment, by the principles and purposes of the Corporate Code of Conduct for Civil Servants and
Chapter 4 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1991, the Members and Public Employees Disclosure Act; and (
i) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate, or settle claims or charges made against the Members and indemnify them from personal liability, provided that the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of activities in relation to their appointment and is not based on fraud or criminal activity and where the Province so defends, the Province will be in control of the case.
