OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Health dated November 8, 2001, and pursuant to

Section 6 of

Chapter 14 of the Acts of 1998, the Health Research Foundation Act, is pleased to: (

a) reappoint Dr. Thomas C. Larder of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality, as a member of the Nova Scotia Health Research Foundation for a further term of office of three years commencing October 26, 2001 and ending October 25, 2004; (

b) appoint Joan Fraser of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality, as a member of the Nova Scotia Health Research Foundation for a term of office of three years commencing October 26, 2001 and ending October 25, 2004; and (

c) determine that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against Dr. Thomas Larder and Joan Fraser and indemnify him or her from personal liability provided, however, the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of his or her activities in relation to the appointment and is not based on fraud or criminal activity and provided that the Province will be in control of a case which it defends.
