B.C. Reg. 98/2009 , deposited March 13, 2009, pursuant to the EMPLOYMENT AND ASSISTANCE ACT [Section 35] and the EMPLOYMENT AND ASSISTANCE FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES ACT [Section 26]. Order in Council 226/2009, approved and ordered March 12, 2009.

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that, effective April 28, 2009, the Employment and Assistance Regulation, B.C. Reg. 263/2002, and the Employment and Assistance for Persons for Disabilities Regulation, B.C. Reg. 265/2002, are amended as set out in the attached Schedule.

Schedule

Section 4.1 (2) (

b) of the Employment and Assistance Regulation, B.C. Reg. 263/2002, is repealed and the following substituted:

(

b) subject to subsection (4), must

(

i) complete searches for employment as directed by the minister for the 3 weeks immediately following the date of the application under paragraph (a), or

(ii) demonstrate that each of the applicants has completed a search for employment satisfactory to the minister within the 30 day period prior to the date of the application under paragraph (a),

and in either case provide information about and verification of the searches for employment, in the form specified by the minister.

Section 4.1 (2) (

b) of the Employment and Assistance for Persons with Disabilities Regulation, B.C. Reg. 265/2002, is repealed and the following substituted:

(
